Kulcha

A traditional Pamiri flatbread baked for holidays and long journeys.

Kulcha is a small flat cake, which is traditionally baked for holidays or for a long trip. The taste of real kulcha cannot be confused with anything else.

Ingredients

  • Flour
  • Water
  • Vegetable oil
  • Yeast

Recipe

  1. Add 150-200 ml of vegetable oil to the required amount of flour.
  1. Stir.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of yeast.
  3. Add water and knead the dough.
  1. Divide the dough into portions.
  2. Shape the portions into buns.
  1. Make cuts with a knife and shape the kulcha.
  1. Pierce the dough before baking to prevent it from swelling.

The dough is baked - the kulchas are ready!
