One of the objectives of this project is to contribute to the improvement of women’s social status in the region, along with the preservation of cultural heritage. The project began with a few freelance women doing handicrafts, as well as volunteers from Gulu Giyoh, who shared a desire to preserve the culture and traditions of the Badakhshan region. They began supporting Gulu Giyoh in restoring forgotten traditions such as embroidery and creating unique handicrafts, including toys, clothes and household items.
